Tips and Tricks: How to succeed you can create 3D images and videos

Their 3D television lack the necessary food? Then film and photograph but even in the third dimension. How does it work and what to look, see here.

How does 3D photography?

If man had only one eye, he could estimate distances and distances very poorly and would perceive his environment as a relatively flat figure. Fortunately most people see the world with two eyes - and in space. It works like this: The eyes are about 6.5 centimeters apart and therefore see the environment from slightly different angles. They provide thus two subtly different images. The human brain assembles them into an image and produces small deviations from the spatial visual impression. Whether large film or compact digital cameras - to produce spatial images, 3D devices use essentially the same process as the human eye. The implementation of solving the manufacturer but sometimes in different ways and thus achieve different results. In the overview you will learn to use what techniques Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus, Rollei, and Sony.

3D images include

Not all images are suitable for spatial images. Generally speaking, you should mount the camera on a tripod necessarily, blurred images reduce the three-dimensional visual impression! Make sure that moving in the scene as few persons or things and keep a minimum distance of two meters. Avoid the movies on pans and zooms. If there is no on-edge recording 3-D effect: Attention. In the gallery are examples of appropriate and inappropriate behavior.

3D images reflect

The playback of 3D images on TVs, projectors and notebooks is technically not easy. AUDIO VIDEO FOTO BILD has already tested several flat screen televisions. Take a look at the TV rankings - the appropriate devices are accompanied by the words "(3D)" provided.

In order for the left eye only the left and the right eye only the right image approaching, various methods are used:

  • Color filter method: A native of the 50s art images used for the separation of the red-green glasses. Let the red and green colored photographs result from an eye. The procedure now plays almost no role, since the spatial impression and color rendition are quite unsatisfactory.
  • Shutter Method: Left and right images are displayed alternately 60 times per second on the screen. This corresponds to a frame rate of 120 Hertz. The viewer looks through a relatively heavy shutter glasses, which can be synchronized to the image change the light to pass through each one eye. This creates on TVs, projectors and PC monitors, 3D effects, but about half of the swallows image brightness.
  • Polarization method: The required eye contains two filters that can either only left-handed or right-handed light waves. The advantage: the required glasses are very light, since they contain no batteries or electronics. With this method, 3D movies like "Avatar " will be screened in cinemas.
  • Light Direction Control: Some displays provide three-dimensional photos and videos dar. The pixels of the display may distract the images alternately to the left and right eye. A pair of glasses is not needed.

3D Printing pictures

By laser or inkjet printer can be produced no 3D images. A web-development service but provides 3D prints called lenticular film printing technology. Note: This works only with MPO files! The images can be viewed without glasses, because vertical miniature lenses in the lenticular sheet to draw the image on the left and right eye. The effect is good but the 3-D TV not approach.
